The Duotone Mast AL 3BS QM (Mono) is the aluminium Quick Mount mast for riders who want a faster, cleaner and less fiddly way to rig their Duotone foil system. Instead of removing four mast plate bolts every session, the Quick Mount system allows you to leave the base plate positioned on your board and attach or remove the mast using a single-screw, tool-free connection.
For most riders, that means less time setting up and more time on the water. It is especially useful if you travel with your foil, swap boards, ride regularly, or simply want a more convenient setup without stepping up to the price of a carbon mast.
Where This Mast Sits In The Duotone Range
This is Duotone’s aluminium Quick Mount option within the modern 3BS platform. It sits between the standard Duotone Mast AL 3BS and the lighter carbon Duotone Mast Aero Mid QM SLS.
- Choose this mast if you want the convenience of Quick Mount with the strength and value of aluminium.
- Choose the standard Mast AL 3BS if you want the simplest, lower-cost aluminium mast and do not mind using tools each time.

Choosing Your Mast Length
Mast length has a big effect on how your foil feels. A shorter mast is easier in shallow water and can feel less intimidating while learning. A longer mast gives more clearance in chop, more room through turns and a greater margin before breaching the foil.

The Duotone Mast AL 3BS QM (Mono) is designed for Duotone Aero AL 3BS fuselages and compatible Duotone D/LAB foil setups with the correct fuselage tail. If you are upgrading from an older Duotone or Fanatic foil system, please check compatibility before ordering, as earlier Aero AL / Fanatic AL3.0 Quick Mount parts are not the same as the current 3BS platform.

Which size Duotone Mast AL 3BS QM should I choose?
For most wing foilers, 75cm is the sensible all-round choice. Choose 40cm if you need a very short mast for shallow water, first flights or pump-style use. Choose 60cm if you want something forgiving for learning or flatter water. Choose 82cm if you regularly ride chop or want more clearance as your foiling improves.
What does Quick Mount actually do?
Quick Mount lets you keep the base plate positioned on your board and attach or remove the mast using a single-screw connection. In real terms, it makes rigging faster, reduces tool faff and helps keep your mast position consistent between sessions.
Is this mast compatible with older Duotone or Fanatic foil parts?
This mast is part of Duotone’s current AL 3BS / 3BS+ platform. It is designed for Aero AL 3BS fuselages and compatible D/LAB setups. Older Aero AL / Fanatic AL3.0 Quick Mount parts are different, so please check with us before ordering if you are upgrading an existing foil system.
Is aluminium stiff enough, or should I buy carbon?
For most riders, aluminium gives plenty of stiffness and very good value. Carbon is lighter and can feel more refined, especially at higher speeds, but if you want the biggest day-to-day convenience upgrade, this aluminium Quick Mount mast makes a lot of sense.
Does this include the fuselage and foil wings?
No. This product is the mast only in your selected length. Fuselage, front wing, rear stabiliser, board mounting hardware and maintenance items are sold separately unless stated on your order.
Can The SUP Company help me confirm compatibility?
