Description
Description
If you want a front wing that feels lively, loose and genuinely fun without giving away too much pump or glide, the Duotone Whizz SLS sits in a very smart place in the Duotone foil range. It was designed first and foremost for prone and wake foiling, but it also crosses over brilliantly into wing foiling, playful SUP foiling in weaker swell, and even dockstart use for the right rider.
This is not a front wing that feels overly locked-in or serious. The Whizz SLS has a surfier character than many foils in this category, comes through rail-to-rail turns naturally, and still gives you enough low-speed support to pump back out and link sections. For riders who want a foil that feels responsive, intuitive and easy to enjoy, it is a seriously good option.
Watch Our Review
If you want to get a better feel for how the Whizz rides on the water, our review below is worth a watch.
Where the Whizz SLS Sits in the Range
The Whizz SLS is the front wing to choose when you want more looseness, tighter turning and a more wave-oriented feel than a glide-focused foil, but you still want enough efficiency to pump properly and keep the session flowing.
- Choose the Duotone Aero Lift SLS if your main goal is easy early lift and straightforward progression.
- Choose the Whizz SLS if you want a looser, more playful and more surf-led feel with strong pump-back ability.
- Choose the Duotone Glide 2.0 SLS if your priority is longer glide, more efficiency and covering distance.
Why Choose the Duotone Whizz SLS?
- Feels playful and loose rather than stiff or tracky
- Pumps efficiently enough to link waves and get back out with less effort
- Turns naturally and intuitively, making it easy to trust on the wave
- Works across multiple disciplines rather than being limited to one narrow use
- Offers excellent crossover value for riders who foil in more than one way
- Available in a very usable size range, from lively performance sizes to easier larger options
Recommended Setup
For most riders, the sweet-spot fuselage pairing is the Duotone Fuselage Aero 3BS AL in 66cm. If you want the loosest, most reactive feel, the 60cm is the more playful choice. If you want a calmer, more controlled ride with extra pitch stability, the 74cm is the better option.
The matching rear wing is the Duotone Foil Rear Stabilizer S, with the correct size depending on which Whizz front wing you choose.

Which Size Should You Choose?
850 is the smallest and most lively feeling size in the range. A great choice for lighter or more advanced riders who want maximum manoeuvrability, tighter turns and a more surf-led feel.
1000 is the sweet spot for many riders wanting the Whizz character without going too specialist. It is an excellent all-round crossover size for prone, wake and playful wing use.
1200 gives you more support at lower speeds and makes sense if you want easier lift, weaker-wave usability or a friendlier step into the Whizz range.
1450 is the biggest and most supportive option. Best for heavier riders, weaker swell, learning prone or wake foiling, and getting the easiest low-speed platform in the Whizz family.
Package Includes
- 1 x Duotone Whizz SLS foil front wing
Please note: this is the front wing only. If you are building a full setup, you will also need a compatible rear stabiliser, fuselage and mast. If you are refreshing an existing setup, the matching Duotone front wing screw set for Aero Carve 2.0 / Glide / Whizz is here.

Is the Duotone Whizz SLS mainly for prone and wake foiling, or can I wingfoil it as well?
It was designed with prone and wake foiling at the heart of the brief, but it crosses over really well into wing foiling too. The smaller sizes make a lot of sense for experienced riders who want a looser, surfier feel, while the larger sizes can also work well for heavier riders or softer conditions.
Which rear stabiliser should I pair with the Whizz SLS?
The recommended pairings are straightforward: 850 = S165, 1000 = S185, 1200 = S210, and 1450 = S210. You can shop the correct tail here: Duotone Foil Rear Stabilizer S.
Is the Whizz SLS a good option for SUP foiling in weaker swell?
Yes, particularly in the larger sizes. If you are SUP foiling in softer, slower waves and want a front wing that still feels playful rather than dull, the 1200 and 1450 are the most obvious options to look at.
Will this front wing fit my current Duotone or Fanatic setup?
The Whizz SLS is compatible with Duotone Aero AL, Duotone AL 3BS, and Fanatic Carbon & AL fuselages. If you are mixing older and newer foil parts and want to be sure before ordering, get in touch and we will help you check the full setup properly.
What fuselage length works best with the Whizz SLS?
For most riders, 66cm is the best all-round choice and the easiest place to start. Go 60cm if you want the foil to feel looser and more reactive, or 74cm if you want a more controlled, pitch-stable setup.
