The Sport range sits between Red Paddle Co’s easy-going all-round boards and the more expedition-focused Voyager models. Compared with a Ride-style board, the 14'0 Sport Plus is noticeably faster and tracks straighter. It is best for progressing paddlers who want more speed, glide and tracking than an all-round inflatable SUP. It suits touring, fitness paddling and longer flat-water sessions rather than very casual, stop-start family paddling.
Is a 14'0 paddleboard too long?
Not if your priority is distance. A 14'0 board rewards you with better glide and straighter tracking, but it will feel more purposeful than a shorter all-round board. If storage, turning ease and casual paddling matter more than speed, a shorter Sport or Ride model may be a better fit.
