Each has a different job. The Everready covers racing across changing conditions, the Futura focuses on efficient racing in flatter water and mild chop, and the E-Ticket puts comfortable distance paddling first.

Infinity: more than 50 years of board-building heritage
Infinity’s story starts with surfboard shaping. The first Infinity surfboard was shaped in 1970, and Steve and Barrie Boehne opened their first Infinity Surf Shop in Huntington Beach, California, in 1971.
Steve had already shaped his first board in 1960, aged just 13. He later passed that knowledge to his sons, Dan and Dave, creating a family shaping tradition that remains central to the brand. Today, Infinity’s custom board-building roots are firmly associated with Dana Point, California.
The family’s pedigree extends onto the water. Steve and Barrie won multiple world tandem surfing titles, while Dave competed professionally in shortboard and longboard surfing before helping develop Infinity’s SUP designs. Steve’s contribution to shaping was recognised with induction into the International Shapers Hall of Fame in 2017.
That background matters because a paddleboard’s behaviour depends on much more than its length and width. The shape underneath, the edges of the board and the distribution of volume all influence how it glides, turns and responds when the water becomes unsettled.
A race pedigree behind the designs
Infinity also has an established presence in competitive SUP. The Everready platform has been raced to victories by paddlers including Candice Appleby, Arthur Arutkin and Donato Freens.
That is useful context for the board’s development, although race results alone cannot tell you which size to buy. The right board still needs to work for your balance, technique and regular paddling conditions.

Infinity Everready 2027: the all-water race option
The Infinity Everready 2027 is designed for paddlers who want one race board to cover a broad mix of training and competition conditions.
Its deep dugout places your feet in a recessed standing area. Paired with Infinity’s Tri-Plane hull, it forms a platform intended to combine flat-water glide with control and responsive handling in chop and open-water bumps.
What changes for 2027?
The updated shape has reduced volume across the size range, revised bottom contours, reshaped rails and a narrower nose. These refinements target control, acceleration and a more responsive feel. Team Elite Carbon construction combines carbon with a PVC sandwich structure around an EPS core.
Choose the Everready if your racing regularly involves changing water conditions and you like a deeper standing area. We would start here when discussing mixed coastal training and racing, while still matching the width to the paddler.
The 21" and 22.5" options deserve careful consideration of balance and experience. The 24" and 26" offer wider alternatives; neither should be selected on rider weight alone.
Infinity Futura 2027: glide-focused racing with versatility
The Infinity Futura 2027 combines a narrow displacement nose, a single-concave hull and a mildly recessed standing area.
A displacement nose parts the water as the board moves forwards. The concave is a shallow hollow in the underside, extending towards the tail. These features support the Futura’s emphasis on glide, acceleration and predictable handling.
Choose the Futura if flat-water training and racing dominate your paddling, with mild chop and smaller bumps also part of the picture. Its intended use extends beyond completely glassy water.
Our recommendation is to compare it with the Everready around your usual conditions and preferred standing position. Avoid choosing from width alone: different hulls and decks can feel quite different beneath your feet.
Infinity E-Ticket 2027: touring with race-design roots
The Infinity E-Ticket 2027 draws on the original Blackfish design, bringing that influence into a more spacious touring board.
A wide tail and supportive outline combine with a flat, open deck and EPS wood/glass sandwich construction. It is a rigid composite board, so you will need suitable storage and transport.
Choose the E-Ticket if your priority is enjoying longer journeys with room to move. It is our first suggestion here for recreational touring and paddlers considering the move from an inflatable to a hard board.
- 12'6" x 29": 300 litres, with an approximate board weight of 13.2kg. Consider it where handling and storage space influence the decision.
- 14ft x 30": 330 litres, approximately 14.5kg. Consider it for longer journeys and a more spacious platform.

Choosing a width: buy for your normal paddling day
When we help someone choose a performance SUP, the starting point is their current board, what they enjoy about it and what they want to improve.
Tell us your height and weight, the width you currently paddle, your usual routes and whether you are aiming for racing, fitness or touring. That gives us far more useful information than a target width on its own.
A narrow board’s speed potential is only useful if you can apply power consistently. If you spend the session bracing, tightening your legs or cutting strokes short, additional width may help you paddle more effectively.
Think beyond the calmest part of your route. On UK waters, wind, boat wash and fatigue can change how demanding a board feels. Choose for the return journey as well as the first ten minutes.
