Duotone Foils 2027 Launch: Glide 3.0, Crest SLS and Pop D/LAB
The second Duotone Wing Foil 2027 release is the foil-system launch. It introduces two versions of the new Glide 3.0, the versatile Crest SLS, the dedicated Pop D/LAB freestyle foil, two Mast SLS 2.0 options, new Monobloc tails and an important Frontpiece AL 3BS.

This is more than a list of new front wings. The mast, front-wing connection and tail must work as one system, so we have linked every product to clear range, comparison and compatibility advice.
Duotone Foils 2027: the quick answer
- Glide 3.0 SLS: the accessible high-aspect choice for efficient freeride, freefly, downwind and lighter-wind winging.
- Glide 3.0 D/LAB: the premium, lower-drag Glide for riders prioritising speed, glide and minimum weight.
- Crest SLS: the forgiving, agile all-round option for prone, freefly, wake and Foil Assist use.
- Pop D/LAB: the specialist freestyle and kite foil for speed, pop, repop and controlled landings.
- Compatibility first: check the mount, mast, frontpiece and tail before ordering individual parts.
What is new in the Duotone 2027 foil range?
The launch gives riders three clearly different front-wing directions. Glide 3.0 focuses on efficient high-aspect performance, Crest SLS balances agility with forgiving lift, and Pop D/LAB removes all-round compromises for freestyle. The supporting hardware expands the ways those wings can be configured.

Glide 3.0 SLS or Glide 3.0 D/LAB?
The Glide 3.0 SLS covers the larger 825, 950, 1100, 1250 and 1400 cm² sizes. It is the easier recommendation for riders who want efficient high-aspect performance with strong low-end options and compatibility with current Duotone mast and stabiliser directions.

The Glide 3.0 D/LAB runs from 600 to 1100 cm² and takes the concept towards lower weight and higher performance. It suits experienced riders using speed and apparent wind efficiently for freefly, downwind and parawing.

Where does the new Crest SLS fit?
The Crest SLS is the less intimidating alternative to a very high-aspect glide foil. Its medium-aspect outline, moustache curvature and controlled stall behaviour are intended to combine manoeuvrability with pitch stability.

That makes it a strong crossover choice for riders prioritising carving and confidence across prone, freefly, wake and Foil Assist sessions. If sustained glide and light-wind efficiency dominate, start with Glide 3.0; if turns and forgiveness matter more, start with Crest SLS.

Pop D/LAB: a dedicated freestyle foil
The Pop D/LAB is not intended to be the universal choice. Its low-drag design targets speed into a trick, explosive release, rapid repop and control on landing. Sizes are 500, 650 and 800 cm².

It is designed around the new Monobloc Tail F D/LAB 165 and the 3BS+ fourth-screw system. Riders wanting the matched commercial package can choose the Pop D/LAB wing set in 650 or 800 cm².

New masts, tails and the 3BS frontpiece
- Mast SLS 2.0: a one-piece carbon mast in 76, 84 and 92 cm with a tapered low-drag profile and 3BS+ insert.

- Mast SLS 2.0 Quickmount: a 76 or 84 cm alternative with Duotone's detachable Quickmount baseplate system.

- Monobloc Tail H D/LAB: H130 and H150 pump-and-glide tails for downwind, parawing and freefly.

- Monobloc Tail F D/LAB: the compact F165 freestyle and kite tail developed with Pop D/LAB.

- Frontpiece AL 3BS: the 23 cm bridge that lets compatible SLS/original front wings connect to D/LAB and Monobloc tail directions.

Do not choose foil parts in isolation
A front wing link alone does not guarantee a complete compatible foil. Check the front-wing mount, 3BS or 3BS+ connection, mast, frontpiece or fuselage and tail. Use our Duotone foil compatibility guide, or ask us to confirm the complete build before ordering.

Duotone Foils 2027 launch FAQs
Which Duotone 2027 foil is best for most riders?
There is no single answer without weight, ability and discipline. Crest SLS is the more forgiving and carve-led direction. Glide 3.0 SLS is the accessible high-aspect direction. Glide 3.0 D/LAB is the premium glide choice, while Pop D/LAB is a freestyle specialist.
Can I use my existing Duotone mast and stabiliser?
Some combinations are supported, but compatibility depends on the exact wing and connection parts. Glide 3.0 SLS is designed to work with current Duotone mast and stabiliser directions; Monobloc configurations require the relevant frontpiece. Confirm the complete system before purchase.
Is the Frontpiece AL 3BS a complete fuselage?
No. It is a 23 cm connection component used to bridge compatible SLS/original front wings to D/LAB and Monobloc tail directions. The complete assembled configuration must still include the correct mast and tail components.
Should I buy a front wing or a wing set?
Buy the front wing when you already own confirmed compatible components. A wing set is useful when you want the matched front-wing and tail package, but it still does not necessarily include a mast. Check the live listing for package contents.
