Which Crest SLS size should you choose?

800 cm²: the smallest and most responsive option. Choose it when manoeuvrability, speed and reduced front-wing size take priority over maximum low-end lift.

925 cm²: a particularly versatile middle size, retaining the quick turning character of the Crest while adding extra lift and support compared with the 800.

1050 cm²: increases low-end support and pumping ability while maintaining the Crest's surf-focused feel. A strong option when you want easier starts and more glide without moving to a dedicated high-aspect design.

1200 cm²: the largest Crest SLS, providing the greatest lift and support in the range. It makes the Crest concept more accessible in lower-energy conditions or for riders who need additional front-wing area while still prioritising carving and manoeuvrability.

SLS construction

The Crest SLS uses Duotone's performance-focused SLS construction to combine stiffness, low weight and durability. A stiff front wing transmits rider input more directly through the foil, helping the Crest respond quickly when carving or pumping rather than allowing energy to disappear through unnecessary flex.

The important distinction is that the Crest SLS is not intended to be an entry-level foil simply because it sits below D/LAB in the construction hierarchy. The shape is still performance orientated; SLS simply makes that performance available in a more accessible construction.

Compatibility and building your Crest SLS foil

It is less appropriate for a complete beginner looking for maximum passive lift and stability, and it is not the obvious choice for somebody whose sole objective is maximum high-aspect glide or dedicated downwind efficiency. In that case, the Glide 3.0 SLS should be high on the shortlist.
