New Duotone Unit wings for 2027
The Unit remains Duotone's central all-round wing. It is intended to cover freeride, freestyle and wave use, with three principal construction levels and an additional Concept Blue version of the SLS.
Across the new Unit family, the main design changes include a shorter strut for a more compact feel, a revised window layout and refinements to canopy tension and tip twist. Duotone Unit SLS 2027
The Unit SLS sits between the standard Unit and D/LAB. It is designed to provide a stronger ratio of stiffness and weight, giving regular riders a crisper response and more direct feel without moving to the most expensive construction.
This is likely to be the sweet spot for many committed UK wingfoilers. The performance gain should be noticeable when pumping onto foil, steering through transitions, riding powered and flagging the wing in waves.
Choose it if: you already foil consistently and want a clear performance upgrade that still makes sense as an everyday wing.

Duotone Unit SLS Concept Blue 2027
The Concept Blue version uses the SLS performance platform with Duotone's undyed and alternative material choices. Its place in the range is not as a separate riding discipline: it is an alternative route to the Unit SLS feel.
Choose it if: you want the Unit SLS performance level and specifically prefer the Concept Blue approach and appearance.
Duotone Unit D/LAB 2027
The Unit D/LAB uses a full 82 g Aluula Gold frame and represents the lightest, stiffest and most direct Unit construction. Weight and stiffness are most valuable when a rider has enough experience to feel and use the difference.
The advantage should be especially noticeable in larger wing sizes, during active pumping, in transitions and when the wing is flagged. The trade-off is price and a more performance-led ownership proposition.

Fusion Handles or Fusion Boom?
The modular Fusion system lets riders choose between two carbon handles and a single boom. Both use an oval carbon tube and pistol-grip shape, with a flush connection to the strut.

Duotone Sky Style and Sky Style SLS 2027
The new Sky Style shape introduces a step tail intended to improve release onto foil and help the board re-pop after touchdowns. Its compact outline keeps swing weight controlled, while width through the nose and tail supports take-off stability and more forgiving landings.
A relatively high rocker line helps provide clearance and control during faster riding and jumping. The standard Sky Style uses Vacuum Sandwich construction for a balance of performance and value. The Sky Style SLS uses a lighter and stiffer carbon sandwich construction for riders who will benefit from more immediate response.
Choose the standard Sky Style for the broadest balance of compact performance, accessibility and price. Choose the Sky Style SLS if freestyle response, lower swing weight and a more direct connection to the foil justify the additional cost.
Duotone Trace SLS 2027
The Trace SLS sits between the Sky Style SLS and Paradox SLS. It combines a reduced length with a more surf-oriented outline, including a pulled-in nose and rounded pin tail.
This is an advanced wave-wing board rather than the automatic recommendation for general freeride. It is intended for riders who value tighter turning, control in steeper sections and a connected surf feel more than maximum standing stability.
Choose the Trace SLS if your winging is increasingly wave-focused and you already have confident foil control. Choose the Sky Style for more freestyle crossover, or the Paradox SLS when parawing and efficient freefly take-offs are the priority.
Duotone Skybrid SLS and Skybrid D/LAB 2027
The Skybrid is Duotone's versatile mid-length platform. Its added waterline helps the board build speed before take-off, while its volume distribution is intended to retain useful standing stability.
For 2027, the Skybrid D/LAB expands from the original 70-litre size into a five-board range from 60 to 100 litres. It uses Duotone's hollow Shell Composite Construction, producing a full-volume board with very low swing weight and high stiffness.
The Skybrid SLS is the easier recommendation for most committed riders because it combines mid-length efficiency with a less extreme price and construction proposition. The D/LAB is the performance choice for riders who place a high value on weight, response and reduced swing weight.

Duotone Crush SLS 2027
The Crush SLS is the smallest and most specialist new board in this first release. Its pulled-in nose reduces swing weight, while the wider fish tail supports control and drive through turns. It also allows integrated cable routing for assist use.
The board uses Biax Carbon construction, carbon foil tracks and a thin 3 mm deck pad for direct power transfer. It does not have footstrap inserts, helping keep weight down but reinforcing its specialist intention.
Choose the Crush SLS for prone, wave and compact assist-led foiling. It is not the board we would put beneath someone learning basic wingfoil starts.

Carry-over boards still matter
The arrival of new boards does not make the existing Duotone shapes irrelevant. The Paradox SLS, Skybrid and Midfish comparison remains useful because these boards solve different take-off and riding problems.
