Description
Description
The Code Foils Fuselage is the central connection point of your Code foil setup, linking your mast, front wing and rear stabiliser into one stiff, precise platform. It is a small-looking part with a big effect on how your foil feels: pitch stability, pump cadence, turning response and overall confidence all change depending on the fuselage length you choose.
Code offer the fuselage in four lengths — X-Small, Small, Medium and Large — giving riders a simple way to tune the same foil system for different riding styles. Shorter fuselages feel looser, quicker and more reactive. Longer fuselages feel calmer, more stable and easier to control, especially when learning, downwinding or riding in messy UK conditions.
Where it sits in the Code Foils range
The fuselage is the part you choose once you know how you want your Code setup to behave. If you want maximum stability and a more forgiving platform, the Large is the safest choice. If you want a more neutral all-round feel, the Medium is the natural starting point. If you are an experienced rider chasing tighter turns, faster pump cadence or a more lively foil, the Small or X-Small gives the setup a much looser feel.
This makes it a useful upgrade or tuning part for riders already using Code foils, as well as an essential component when building a complete Code setup around the Code Foils S Series Front Wing, Code Foils R Series Front Wing, Code Foils AR Series Tail Wing and a compatible Code Foils High Modulus Mast.
Why choose the Code Foils Fuselage?
- Tune the feel of your foil: choose a shorter fuselage for a more manoeuvrable, skatey ride or a longer fuselage for extra stability and control.
- Better pump feel for your style: shorter sizes support a quicker pump cadence, while longer sizes create a calmer, slower cadence for riders who value glide and control.
- Strong, stiff connection: Code’s joining system is designed to minimise movement through the foil, giving a more direct feel underfoot.
- Useful across disciplines: suitable for wing foiling, prone foiling, SUP foiling, downwinding and Foil Drive-assisted setups when used with compatible Code components.
- Easy setup progression: changing fuselage length is one of the most effective ways to change how your foil behaves without replacing your whole setup.
Choosing the right size
X-Small – 450mm: the most reactive option. Best suited to advanced riders who want tighter turns, quicker response and a very loose feel. A good option for riders who already have control and want to make a larger foil feel more agile.
Small – 480mm: lively and manoeuvrable without going quite as extreme as the X-Small. A strong choice for prone, wing and surf-focused riders who want a faster turning setup with a higher cadence pump.
Medium – 510mm: the balanced all-round option. This is the sensible middle ground if you want one fuselage to cover a wide range of riding without making the foil feel either too loose or too locked in.
Large – 540mm: the most stable option. Best for riders wanting extra pitch control, smoother glide and a more predictable feel. It is also a good choice for learning, downwinding, heavier riders or anyone who wants their foil to feel calmer underfoot.

FAQs
Which Code Foils fuselage size should I choose?
For most riders, the Medium is the safest all-round starting point. Choose the Large if you want more pitch stability, easier control or a calmer downwind feel. Choose the Small or X-Small if you are already confident and want a looser, more reactive setup for sharper turns and a quicker pump cadence.
Is a shorter fuselage better?
Not always. A shorter fuselage can make the foil feel more agile and lively, but it also reduces pitch stability. That can be brilliant for experienced surf and prone riders, but less helpful if you are learning, downwinding or trying to make your setup feel more settled.
Is the Large fuselage only for beginners?
No. The Large is helpful for beginners because it adds stability, but many downwind and glide-focused riders also like a longer fuselage because it creates a more controlled, efficient feel with a slower pump cadence.
Will this work with my existing Code foil?
Yes, this fuselage is designed for the Code Foils modular system. You should still make sure the mast, front wing, rear wing and hardware you are using are compatible. If you are unsure, send us your current setup and we will help check it before you order.
Can I use aftermarket rear wings with it?
The Code fuselage uses an M6 rear wing mounting with 30mm spacing, and Code also provide shim options for riders who like to experiment. However, mixing non-Code parts needs care, so we recommend checking compatibility with us first rather than assuming everything will fit and feel right.
Can I demo Code Foils before buying?
For suitable riders, selected Code Foils equipment may be available through our Lymington try-before-you-buy service. Demos are subject to availability, suitability and approval, but they are a very useful way to feel the difference between setup choices before committing.
