The Duotone Mast Slim 2.0 D/LAB is Duotone’s top-end carbon foil mast for riders who want the cleanest release, the lowest drag and the most direct feel under load. This is not a “just get me going” foil mast. It is the performance option in the range for experienced wing foilers, surf foilers, downwind riders and freerace riders who care about stiffness, speed and efficiency.
What matters here is not just that it is light and slim. It is that each mast length has been tuned for a specific job. That gives the Mast Slim 2.0 D/LAB a much more purposeful feel on the water than a one-shape-fits-all approach. You get a mast that feels crisp through turns, efficient when pumping and noticeably cleaner through the water when you are really trying to push your setup on.

Compared with the previous Duotone Foil Mast Aero Slim D/LAB, this latest Slim 2.0 D/LAB concept is more size-specific in its tuning and more advanced in the way each length is targeted at a particular riding style.
If you are newer to foiling, want maximum durability or simply want the best value route into the 3BS ecosystem, the aluminium mast still makes a lot of sense. If you are already riding confidently and want less drag, more precision and a genuinely premium feel, this is the upgrade.

Honestly, usually not. It is a premium performance mast aimed at riders who can already foil confidently and want more efficiency, less drag and a more direct feel. If you are earlier in your foiling journey, the aluminium Duotone mast is often the more sensible place to start.
Which size is best for most riders?
For many experienced wing foilers, the 84cm will be the sweet spot. It has the clearance most riders want for freeride, waves and freestyle without moving too far into the specialist ends of the range.
Does it fit the Duotone 3BS system?
Yes. This mast is built around Duotone’s 3BS connection and is designed to work with 3BS fuselages. If you already have a Duotone 3BS-based setup and want to step up in performance, this is the premium carbon mast option in the range.
What is the real benefit over an aluminium mast?
