The Foil Drive Assist Max Complete Kit - Gen 2 is the Foil Drive setup for riders who want one system that can cover almost everything. If you want earlier take-offs, more time flying, stronger support in average conditions and the flexibility to move between different boards or disciplines, the Assist MAX is the most rounded place to start in the Foil Drive Gen 2 range.
Within the Gen 2 Foil Drive line-up, the Assist MAX sits above the Slim for riders who want more outright support, more battery choice and broader all-round usability. It still feels like foil assist rather than a full eFoil, but it gives you a wider performance window if you are heavier, ride smaller boards, use smaller foils, or simply want more help on demand.

Who should choose the Assist MAX over the Assist Slim?
Choose the Assist MAX if you want the broadest setup options, more battery choice, more potential runtime and stronger overall support. If your priority is the lightest, most discreet install possible, the Slim is usually the better fit.
Do I need an external antenna?
Not always. Many setups work perfectly without one, but boards with carbon tracks can sometimes benefit from the Foil Drive External Antenna for stronger, more consistent signal performance.
Is the Assist MAX a full eFoil?
No. It is a foil assist system designed to help with take-offs, support marginal conditions and extend sessions while still keeping the feel of your existing board and foil setup.
Gen 2 MAX, MAX+ or Fusion?
This is the Gen 2 Assist MAX. Compare the Gen 2.5 Assist MAX+ and Foil Drive Fusion if you are buying into a new system and want to assess their battery options and added features.
Battery compatibility is system-specific. The original MAX uses the 40V MAX battery platform; newer Fusion/MAX+ 43V batteries must not be treated as drop-in replacements. Match the battery, charger and electronics to the approved system. Ask us to check your existing kit before buying individual upgrades.
