Is the Duotone Foil Mast Aero AL Quick Mount compatible with the newer 3BS system?
No. This mast belongs to the earlier Aero AL Quick Mount platform and is designed around Aero AL fuselages and Fanatic AL3.0 compatibility. If you are building a newer 3BS-based setup, you should be looking at the current 3BS mast platform instead.
Does it fit Spirit FL fuselages?
No. This mast is listed for Aero AL compatibility and specifically not for Spirit FL. If you are unsure what your existing setup is, send us a photo of your mast and fuselage connection and we will point you in the right direction.
Which size should I choose?
60cm is the specialist option for shallow water. 75cm is the safe all-round size for flatter water and smaller surf. 82cm is the standout all-rounder for most riders wanting a bit more versatility. 90cm suits riders wanting the most clearance in rougher water, larger surf or more open-water use.
Is aluminium still a good choice compared with carbon?
Absolutely. For most riders, aluminium is still the best value route into a stiff, dependable foil setup. Carbon can feel lighter and more refined, but aluminium remains a very sensible choice if you want durability, performance and better value for money.
