The AXIS PNG V2 Front Wing is the updated pump-and-glide choice in the AXIS foil range for riders who want easy lift, serious glide and a front wing that keeps carrying through weak conditions without feeling dull or one-dimensional.

This is the wing to look at if your sessions revolve around pump foiling, dock starts, tiny surf, light-wind wingfoiling, wake foiling, SUP foiling or smaller downwind conditions where early lift and efficient glide matter more than outright top speed.

Compared with the older PNG shape, the V2 brings a noticeably more refined feel. It is cleaner through the water, accelerates better, turns more easily and has a higher top end, while still holding onto the low-speed lift and forgiving glide that made the original PNG such a favourite.

Where the PNG V2 Sits in the AXIS Range

Within the AXIS front wing line-up, the PNG V2 sits on the efficient, glide-heavy side of the range, but it feels more modern and more capable than the older PNG V1.

Choose the PNG V2 if you want a wing that gets up early, pumps efficiently and helps you stay flying for longer, but you also want a bit more pace, better turning and a cleaner overall feel than the original design.

Choosing the Right PNG V2 Size

PNG V2 1200 is the compact powerhouse of the range. It is a great option for heavier riders, punchy dock starts, beach starts, wake use and anyone who wants strong low-speed lift in a slightly shorter span package.

PNG V2 1300 is the balanced all-rounder. For many riders this will be the sweet spot if you want the classic PNG-style lift and glide, but with a more refined feel, better acceleration and improved turning over the older 1300.

PNG V2 1400 is the biggest glide machine in the family. This is the one for the lightest wind wingfoiling, very weak downwind conditions, easy wake starts, maximum pump efficiency and riders who want the most help possible getting up and staying flying.

Which AXIS PNG V2 size should I choose?

If you want the most balanced option, start with the 1300. If you want compact power and strong low-speed lift in a shorter span, look at the 1200. If your priority is maximum glide and the easiest possible lift in very weak conditions, the 1400 is the standout.

Will the PNG V2 fit my existing AXIS setup?

The key point is that PNG V2 sits on the AXIS Black-series platform, not the older Red-series one. If you already have a Red-series fuselage, the easier route may be the PNG V1. If you are unsure what you own, send us a photo and we will help you sanity-check it before you buy.

Is the PNG V2 good for wingfoiling?

Yes, especially in lighter winds or for riders who want early lift and easy staying power rather than a fast, highly reactive race-style feel. The 1300 and 1400 make a lot of sense for light-wind wingfoiling, while the 1200 suits riders wanting compact lift and crossover pump or wake use.

Is this mainly a pump foil wing?

Pump foiling is one of the PNG V2’s real strengths, but it is not limited to that. It also works very well for dock starts, wake foiling, tiny surf, SUP foil use and smaller downwind conditions. It is one of those wings that covers a lot of ground if your priority is lift and glide.

Do I need a carbon mast with the PNG V2?

Not necessarily, but a stiffer mast helps you get the cleanest feel from bigger, glidier front wings. If you want the setup to feel tighter, faster and more precise, the AXIS Carbon Power High Modulus Mast is a very sensible upgrade path.
