Description
Description
The Duotone Wing Set Carve 3.0 SLS is the choice for riders who want their foil to feel lively, direct and genuinely fun to turn. Supplied as a matched front wing and PX rear stabiliser pairing, this set is aimed at wing foilers, prone foilers, surf foilers and kite foilers who are already flying confidently and now want a more dynamic setup with sharper carving, better pump and more speed through turns.
This is not the easiest first-flight foil in the Duotone range. If your priority is maximum lift and reassurance, a more progression-focused foil will make more sense. The Carve 3.0 SLS is for the rider who wants to push harder, turn tighter, link sections more naturally and feel a more precise connection underfoot.
Where the Carve 3.0 SLS Sits in the Duotone Foil Range
Within the Duotone foil line-up, the Carve 3.0 SLS sits on the more surf, freestyle and manoeuvre-led side of the range. It has more pump and glide than the previous Carve generation, but its identity is still clear: this is the foil to choose when you want response, drive and rail-to-rail control rather than simply the easiest low-speed lift.
If you are still building confidence, the Duotone Free 2.0 Foil Wing Set is the more forgiving all-round option. If your riding is more focused on distance, pump and glide, the Duotone Glide 2.0 SLS is the more efficient direction. If you want the same carve-led performance concept in the most premium construction, look at the Duotone Carve 3.0 D/LAB.
Why Choose the Duotone Carve 3.0 SLS Wing Set?
- Matched front wing and PX stabiliser: removes the guesswork and gives you the correct rear wing pairing for each size.
- Sharper turning: ideal if you want tighter carving, quicker direction changes and a more surf-led feel.
- Improved pump and glide: helps you carry speed between turns, bumps and wave sections more effectively than before.
- Better pitch control: the PX stabiliser pairing helps keep the foil composed when you are riding faster or pushing harder.
- SLS carbon construction: gives a strong, stiff and responsive feel without stepping into full D/LAB pricing.
- Multi-discipline use: suitable for wing foiling, prone foiling, surf foiling, freestyle and kite foiling.
Which Size Should You Choose?
800/PX160
The quickest and most reactive size in the range. Best for lighter riders, stronger wind, faster foiling, wave riding and riders who want maximum agility.
950/PX175
The most obvious performance all-round size for many confident riders. It keeps the sharp Carve feel but adds a little more support and range than the 800.
1100/PX175
A strong choice if you want the Carve personality with more lift and forgiveness. This is likely to suit riders who still want performance but need a bit more help getting going or staying supported through lulls.
1300/PX195
The most lift-focused size in the Carve 3.0 SLS range. Best for heavier riders, lighter wind, smaller wave conditions or riders who want a more accessible take-off without moving into a full beginner foil.

Build Your Complete Duotone Foil Setup
If you are building a full setup around the Carve 3.0 SLS, the key components to consider are your mast, fuselage and board pairing. For many riders, the Duotone Mast AL 3BS and Duotone Fuselage Aero 3BS AL are the natural places to start. If you are unsure which length or setup is right, speak to us before ordering and we can help you avoid a costly mismatch.

FAQs
Is the Duotone Carve 3.0 SLS a good beginner foil?
For most complete beginners, no. It is better suited to riders who are already flying consistently and want a more responsive, carve-led foil. If you want the easiest take-off and maximum reassurance, look at a more progression-focused option such as the Duotone Free 2.0 or Aero Lift SLS.
What is included in the Wing Set?
The Wing Set includes the Carve 3.0 SLS front wing and the matched PX rear stabiliser for your selected size. Mast, fuselage, board and other accessories are not included unless clearly stated.
Which Carve 3.0 SLS size should I choose?
Choose the 800 if you want the fastest and most agile feel, the 950 for a strong performance all-round size, the 1100 for more support and easier range, and the 1300 if you want the most lift from the Carve 3.0 SLS range. Rider weight, wind strength, board choice and ability all matter, so ask us if you want help choosing.
What is the difference between Carve 3.0 SLS and Glide 2.0 SLS?
The Carve 3.0 SLS is the more turn-focused and dynamic foil. It is the better choice if you want tighter arcs, a more surfy feel and better freestyle pop. The Glide 2.0 SLS is the better choice if your priority is efficiency, speed retention and longer glides between pumps.
What is the difference between Carve 3.0 SLS and Carve 3.0 D/LAB?
They share the same performance direction, but the D/LAB version is the more premium construction with a lighter, crisper and more refined feel. The SLS is the more sensible choice for many riders who want strong performance without the full D/LAB spend.
Can I demo Duotone foiling kit before buying?
